No other version of the popular story of a mermaid who falls in love with a human and has to give up her form and being to do so tells of parallel worlds at night as ghostly and beautiful as Antonín Dvořák's opera Rusalka. And nobody knows their way around there as well as the dazzling drag performers with whom director Bastian Kraft doubles Dvořák's forest and water creatures - experts in transformation and beautiful appearances in the spotlight. Through lip-synching, they make the fairy tale of mermaid and prince their own. Alongside a top-class ensemble of singers, in Rusalka they are in search of a life in which who we love and who we are no longer determines whose existence takes place in the light and whose in the dark.
After two successful seasons we look forward to brining Rusalka back in January 2025!
