Zoe Lohmann is a chameleon of artistic endeavour. She is a performer, director and fine artist, in the maze of which her passion and stick-to-it-iveness are the red thread. She finds magic and intrigue in the spaces between different modes of creation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
As a director she tells stories with devotion. On stage, she has embodied artificial intelligences, infiltrated the Berlin drag and genderfuck scene and toured internationally. In her studio, she creates wearable sculptures, inspired by parasitic and symbiotic relationships in nature.
Her work as a Masters Student at the HfS Ernst Busch explored game mechanics and interactive elements of play as storytelling devices. This work has resulted in several production with game mechanics as their core conceptual and driving element, and has manifested in a philosophy of show making that places the exchange of experience between performer and audience at itβ core.
It is her goal to devise and develop new forms of audience - object - performer relationships, with a commitment to beauty, queerness in its truest sense, the strange, odd and unfamiliar, and most important of all, a good sense of humor.
