How is Artificial Intelligence a mirror of ourselves?
What are the hopes, wishes and fantasies we project onto it?
What do we fear about it?
What drives the human desire to synthetically re-create oneself?
What does our vision of “perfection” say about us?
What about trust? Can we trust our own mirror creations?

All of these questions and more were the basis of the research, development and writing that went into “IDIOM”.

Over the course of a year Zoe and James Kingsford-Smith designed the concept, collaborated on writing, and developed a physical research form to explore hybrid storytelling techniques blending acrobatics, physical theatre and acting.
